Debbie (Deborah) Ames
I have been in real estate for over 33 years, before which I owned and ran Cedar Green Golf Club
for almost two decades. Following this career change, I quickly earned my Broker’s license within my first few years in the industry. I have enjoyed great success in my business ventures thanks to my strong work ethic and entrepreneurial background, but what I treasure most are the incredible friendships that I have made along the way. One of my favourite experiences is when I work with a family and years later, I help their children find their first home. Lifelong clients are incredible and what I consider one of my greatest accomplishments.
These past 11 years in real estate have taught me so many invaluable lessons in marketing,
customer service and networking. I am thrilled to be working in an industry that allows me to
combine these skills and my market knowledge with my love of people. Whether it is my clients, the partners I work with every day, or attending networking events – I love interacting and meeting new people. This comes across in my work and the care that I put into every aspect of the buying and selling process.
I started my career in real estate as an unlicensed assistant with the Ames Team in 2013 before earning my real estate license five years later. This background provided me with crucial experience about the Greater Sudbury housing market and sales process. Furthermore, my involvement in the community has made client care a passion of mine. I love working with people and strive to give our clients the best experience when buying or selling their home. I know how important it is to really get to know the people that I am working with and earn their trust, so it is not surprising that I often find my clients becoming friends that I enjoy keeping in touch with long after the deal has closed.
I have been selling homes since 1991 and love helping my clients buy or sell their homes. From first time home buyers to selling the family home or building their dream home with new construction, my clients have trusted me to guide them through the process from start to finish. The reason I decided to join the Ames Team was because the team concept has been a growing concept in the real estate business, and I have been watching the different teams expanding and growing. I wanted to join a team with a similar philosophy as mine and treated their clients like I do, with their client’s best interest above all. The Ames Team have been extraordinarily successful in past client retention which tells me they care about their clients. I will be able to help the Ames Team with my 32 years of knowledge in residential and new construction sales.
I started working with Debbie, Terry and Jennifer in a marketing and administrative role in 2018, obtaining my real estate license only two years later and am now proud to be working with the team in my role as a sales representative. I am confident that my Commerce degree will help me fully understand market trends and with time, master real estate transactions. Beginning at the age of 14, my experience in the customer service industry has led to a true passion for people. I believe I have as much to offer as I do to learn, and I am excited to be fully applying myself to the business of real estate.
Office Manager/Client Care Coordinator
I play an integral role in the day to day operations of the Ames Team as the Office Administrator, handling everything from client care, to coordinating showings, providing up to date market and sales reports to our sellers, overseeing marketing, production of the Greater Sudbury Home Guide and more! With my past work experiences in administration and customer service, and as a Business Management graduate, I bring multiple skills and qualifications to the Ames Team. Most importantly I genuinely care for people and not just offering a service, but I pride myself on building client relationships and offering a positive experience. I am grateful to be working with such a professional and caring team, constantly striving to learn and improve our systems. Most importantly, I look forward to meeting and working with you.
